Hello, and Thank You for visiting! GrowingGreenGrass was created in Spring 2012 by Sports Field Manager Jerad Minnick simply to share observations from an idea collection trip to Europe. The ideas that were discovered were endless & exciting. Since that trip, this blog evolved from sharing those ideas specifically into sharing a wide range of ideas as the door to an entirely new world of possibilities for high-use, natural grass fields has opened.
On this blog, endless possibilities have been illustrated and new ideas have been created. 2 of the most significant were from the Fall of 2012. 1st was about Jerad & the Maryland SoccerPlex Field Management team seeding a field w 100% Kentucky bluegrass and then played on it 35 days after seeding. There were “doubters” of the process – but it is all documented here. Even more significantly, the introduction of the concept of Fraze Mowing Bermudagrass was introduced, and evolved. Starting right here with a simple blog post in the Winter of 2012, the fraze mow frenzy began.
Additionally, excitement for professionalism has been explored. Creative thinking has been explored. Minnick’s Growing Innovations came & went – and the announcement of the USA’s pioneer for surface testing / data collection & advisory for high-use natural grass – Natural Grass Advisory Group™. Even controversy has been fueled. Ultimately if you are a fan of the Status Quo… this is NOT the place for you. But if you are excited about the future of high-use natural grass surfaces, please join us as often as possible!
Now in 2020… and the #GrassRevolution & #GrassCanTakeMore® are reaching new heights every single day!
Now will you join us in the discussions???
“Changing the Answer is Evolution
Changing the Question is a Revolution”.
Welcome to the natural grass REVOLUTION! #GrassCanTakeMore®
